Words from Global

Shih-Hsung (Alex) Hwu, Ph.D.

Interim Dean
College of Extended Learning
San Francisco State University

“I am so deeply saddened by the news of Dean Tseng's departure. I had known Dean Tseng since March 2019 and he has left me a great appreciation of his dedication to students' success. During all my encounters both in person and over the phone, he always has laser-focused on what is the best opportunity for Feng-Chia students to be successful and education accessibility. I had learned a great deal of what will it take to be a good leader - lead by example. It is my honor to get to know him as Feng-Chia Alumni and I will continue following his legacy to be a better educator. Again, please accept my sincere condolence to Dean Tseng's family.”

Jennifer Lim

RMIT Manager, International Development, College of Business

It is with great sadness to hear the news of Professor Tseng’s passing. Indeed he has been an inspirational leader and a very good friend of RMIT. I and a few of my colleagues have known him since 2014 when we first started our partnership and he has always been a great leader and a strong advocate for the success of the partnership between FCU and RMIT. I share in your grief and remembering all of you in this difficult time. Please send my condolences to his family and to all our friends at ISTM and FCU and I know you, President Lee and the ISTM team will carry on his great legacy. Sending all of you my warmest regards.

My connection to Mitchell goes back to 1988. Hard to imagine that so much time can go so fast! Yes, I look forward to our continued cooperation and appreciate Prof. Lee’s willingness to support these important ISTM initiatives as interim Dean. I will be forever grateful and indebted to Prof. Tseng.
